The Mosquito

According to this article at the New York Times, there is a new ringtone being used by teenagers that features a high frequency tone supposedly inaudible to adults due to normal hearing loss that occurs with age, otherwise known as "presbycusis". Here's a graph of the range heard by varying ages on average.

And click here to hear an mp3 of the tone if you'd like to find out if you can hear it or not. I'm 28 years old, and could still hear it very clearly, probably due to the fact that I listen for a living.

At Some Point I'll Post More Than Just Videos

Tetris music played by an emo band:

The Amen Break

A truly awesome video about the ever-present 6-second drum sample called the "Amen Break". It's a little long, and featured music with some foul language for a bit, but otherwise incredible. The video portion is pretty useless, since this would be just as effective as a sound file. Enjoy.
